Public Pools in Wichita, KS

Wichita has six public pools where you can swim for free on swim days. They open on Memorial Day, which will be Monday, May 29th this year. Pools stay open until Labor Day, which takes place on Monday, September 4th this year. If you can't make one of the free swim days, you can pay $3 per person or $15 for up to eight people. The city also offers season swim passes for $70 per person or $200 for a family of four.

College Hill Pool

The College Hill Pool is in East Wichita, off South Circle Drive. After closing in 2021 for renovations, this pool is back and better than ever. You do not want to miss the free swim day on Sunday, June 4th this year. This public pool offers a fun waterfall feature and a zero-depth entry that will make you feel like you are at the beach. It also has ample parking and a covered area with beach chairs for relaxing.

McAfee Public Pool

The McAffee Public Pool in North Wichita is located inside McAdams Park off East 14th Street. Free swim day will occur on Father's Day this year (Sunday, June 18th) from 1 pm to 6 pm. This pool has a ton of cool features, including a wraparound open-sided slide, volleyball net, and diving board. It also has a rock climbing wall in the deep end and a zero-depth entry for sunbathers.

Aley Park Pool

The public pool at Aley Park is in South Wichita on South Seneca. It is free to swim at the Aley Park pool on Saturday, June 24th this year. The pool will be open from 1 pm to 6 pm. This swimming pool features a diving board and two slides. The drop slide plunges you into the deep end (12 feet deep). The slide tower drops you into the shallow end (4 feet deep).

Orchard Park Pool

Orchard Park Pool in West Wichita is off North Clara Road. Free swim day will take place on Sunday, July 9th, from 1 pm to 6 pm this year. Otherwise, the pool is open Monday through Sunday for a small fee. Like the McAfee Public Pool, this swimming pool has tons of cool features. There is a slide and a climbing wall, as well as a diving board and zero-depth entry. Also, don't miss the incredible tile murals located throughout the pool.

Harvest Park Pool

Harvest Park Pool is in West Wichita, off West Provincial Road. It will be open from 1 pm to 6 pm on free pool day this year, which will take place on Saturday, July 15th. This public pool is one of the largest in Wichita. It features a wraparound slide that shoots you into three feet of water. The pool also has a diving board, beach-like zero-depth entry, a lap pool, covered seating areas, and more.

Minisa Park Pool

Minisa Park Pool is located off North Jeanette in East Wichita. Don't miss the free swim day on Sunday, July 23rd. The pool will be open from 1 pm to 6 pm that day. This public pool is l-shaped and features a zero-depth entry area. It has a slide in the deep end, as well as a diving board. The pool grounds also feature ample covered space to unwind.

The YMCA
